http://www.inline4fun.co.uk | 25-05-2007 - 20:34 Hi Jacqui, I will look into finding alternative country tracks for some of the harder (64) count intermediate dances, (which tend to be the pop ones) so that people have a choice of music to write down as a request. Some of the choreographers already put down an alternative on their scripts which is very helpful. By the same token, I often find a pop alternative for the country dances, to widen their appeal also. Some of the dances are written to fit a specific piece of music tho, and wouldnt translate well. Thanks for your input - see you Saturday! Im teaching a nice little country dance called Stupidville around 2 p.m. if you can make it! - 32 counts - which will be recapped at 6.30 - along with the main int teach of the day which is A Gigolo - writtn to a nice rousing latin track - guaranteed to storm the linedancer charts! fits the music like a glove too! :) take care, Julie x |

http://www.vikingcwc.com | 18-05-2007 - 13:17 Thanks so much for teaching some country dances. Is there anyway that the country equivalent for some of the dances can be sourced so that the audiance could and can feel more included. |

http://www.linedancingevents.com | 08-05-2007 - 14:23 hi gang! short note to let all my dancers know that the demo is back on on May 20th after all. they are arranging a stage for us to demo on! please ask me in class about the demo if you would like to come along - and for anyone else reading this if you would like to come along and have a bit of a boogie on Sunday 20th May, we will be at marshal point 22 of the fun walk around Keston Ponds in Hayes. Have a look at St, Christophers Hospice website for a map of this walk...they raise loads of money doing this walk every two years, so anyone who would like to support their efforts would be made very welcome by us! If you have any comments to make about the classes on Saturday, please do not hesitate to email me and let me know what you think can be done to keep improving the class further.
I have to say to all my Katz dancers while Im here too - HI GANG! I hope you have all seen yourselves in Linedancer Mag this month? no? tsk tsk - lol! Great photos arent they? I cant wait to see Johns reaction when he sees the photo! LOL LOL - while im here i have to announce that we have declined the offer to demo linedancing during the St. Christophers fun walk on May 20th - due to the surface being gravel! grass - yes, tarmac - maybe, gravel - eeeek! no! its a shame - and thank you to everyone that was willing to give it a go - but it just isnt going to work im afraid! still - we have our summer coach trip to look forward to - the date is most likely to be June 23rd - please put the date in your diaries, and look out for booking forms in class. thats all for now peeps! take care, see you in class, Julie xxx |
